My Wine Journey

I’m Back!

Hey there!

It’s been awhile (just about 4 years) since my last post on here, but I’m back! Lots has changed in my life over the past four years, so buckle up for the life synopsis below:

In 2020, my fiancé (now husband) and I decided to adopt our sweet Finley! He is a mini golden-doodle and we love him so much. On September 25, 2021, I married my best friend on a beautiful fall day in Exeter, NH and we couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day surrounded by our favorite people. We honeymooned in St. Lucia for two weeks which was amazingly beautiful and I would highly recommend it to anyone. In January of 2022, Patrick and I bought a house in southern Maine, a state we have always wanted to move to! We have a beautiful back yard where we spend a lot of time reading, chatting, and enjoying a nice glass of wine.

And now, for what feels to be the craziest change of all…

Most recently, I decided to resign from my corporate job to chase my dreams of studying wine. I have enrolled in the WSET (Wine & Spirits Education Trust) and am about to take my Level 1 exam this Sunday. Once I graduate with my diploma from Level 4 (in about 2 years) I will have my Master’s Degree in Wine. Amazing.

So, where am I today? Today I am mostly studying for my wine course, working on renovations in our new home and taking the summer off from work to enjoy this new phase of life. I’m really enjoying all of the free time that I now have to sit back, relax a bit, and take in the exciting journey that I have ahead of me. I have a few ideas up my sleeve of where I want to head next with my wine career, but nothing set it stone at this time. So, thanks for staying tuned and reading along with every new step ahead!
